How to use

  • Start with the outline set, followed by easy, medium, then hard

  • Hold your child's index finger to trace the Outline set

  • For students who are learning to write, start with the Easy set

  • Instead of writing with a pencil, you can use dot stickers or dot markers to develop their interest in writing

Teaching tips

  • Ensure that your child is holding the pencil correctly

  • For children who have difficulties with the tripod grip, you can consider using a thicker pencil or adding a pencil grip

  • After writing a word, get your child to say out the alphabets and the word (p-i-g, pig)

Embed more learning opportunities

  • Spelling activity: Cover up the helping words and get your child to spell out the name of the animal

  • Fill in the blank: Write a short sentence about the animal (e.g. The ___ is playing in the mud) and get your child to fill in the blank without looking at the helping word

  • Listening activity: Get your child to listen to the word that you are spelling out. (e.g. What animal is this? D-U-C-K)
