What is it

Chinese New Year themed worksheets working on various skills such as matching, counting and many more

How to use

  • Familiarize child with labels associated with CNY 

  • Point to the pictures and articulate each word associated with it 

  • Explain the objective of each worksheet and prompt child through initial steps, fade prompt when child is more familiar with the format of worksheet

Teaching tips

  • Let your child watch videos related to Chinese New Year to teach them more about the festival and what they can expect

  • Pair these worksheets with videos to aid in the understanding of CNY 

  • Introduce the labels to your child during CNY visiting or when walking along the streets (e.g. look, it’s fireworks!)

Embed more learning opportunities

  • Receptive language - Point to the red packet

  • Expressive language - Point to the picture and ask “what's this / what colour?”
