Our Special Stories

Our daughter has been with OSS for more than a year, and she looks forward to all her home-based therapy sessions with WeiYee and Sujie. We are glad to see improvements in her speech, and her willingness to try new things. We also love the weekly update from WeiYee and Sujie about our daughter's sessions and progress. We love the communications from the team and how the therapists are always ready to help and respond to anxious parents' queries.

Thank you so much for all the dedication and quality service. For being someone whom I can trust. Really appreciate for all that OSS has done for my son. Happy to see his progress and improvements. My son has been attending SRC at Our Special Story for the past 1.5 years. The team, including Grace, Sujie, Rachel, Mai, Cynthia and more has been very supportive and accommodating when it comes to supporting our son’s learning and development needs. Not only do the tailor specific programs for our son, they are also open to incorporating requests from parents. My son has improved significantly since attending the classes and we are thankful to the team for their love and patience with him.

Grace is no doubt one of the most resourceful teacher I have met. She always gave direction and good feedback to my queries. she might look cool but she's a very warmth person, and she wants the best for my kid. My son, 14yrs old this year, is on the ASD spectrum. He has been with Our Special Story, home based ABA therapy since Nov’23. Before the therapy, he wasn’t able to sit nicely and wait and he was always doing simple jigsaw and slotting table tasks. Wasn’t very aware of his surroundings too. After attending the therapy, we saw baby steps improvement in his “sitting nicely and wait”. We also feel he become more aware of his surroundings and he has began to do more complicated tabletop tasks eg stringing beads etc. One of the main goals of him attending ABA was we needed help in toilet training him. Although its not acheived yet, but now with prompt, he knows he needs to go toilet to pee and knows how to remove his pants and diapers.

My child has been struggling with regulation and learning behavior. It was a great decision to put her to School Readiness Programme with Our Special Story where she learned to wait, to listen, and understand insturctions before doing something. Their team, especially Teacher Cecilia and Ms. Sujie designed individualised programme for my child which boost up her skills and improved a lot in her behavior when it comes to doing tasks. They have indeed prepared my child get ready to enter Year1 in another school. We are confident that she will progress more because Our Special Story has already built her learning skills foundation. More so, they have been very supportive to us, parents. They shared to me their skills so that I can continue training my child at home.

And if I may add, Our Special Story has been really generous even before I enrolled my child there. They have been sharing worksheets in there social media which parents can use to give out children activities at home that are really beneficial.

Kai Chen was diagnosed with moderate autism since 3 years old. We were having some challenges regarding his impulsiveness and find it difficult to explain consequences in a way that he can accept and relate. We engaged Teacher Cecilia for our home based ABA and we noticed he is motivated to apply the technics taught during the lesson. Though we still need to remind and prompt him on the socially accepted behaviour, he is no longer defensive or be offended when reminded.

Engaged Our Special Story for shadow teacher service and found the methods of Applied Behaviour Analysis are effective for my child who had difficulty following the class structure (N2). Ms Jeannie and Ms Kamelia are well experienced and fully equipped with the knowledge and strategy to let my son integrate with the new school environment. Kuddos and thank you for the help.

We’ve been with Our Special Story since 2020, and we couldn’t be happier with Liam’s progress over the years. The teachers have been incredibly patient, professional, and kind. I’m so grateful for the support and guidance from Grace, Teacher Sujie, Teacher Rachel, and Teacher Weiyee. Thank you all for helping Liam learn and grow!

We highly recommend Our Special Story. On Jan 2023, we admitted our son there and showed significant improvement in his behavior in a short amount of time. Miss Sujie and Team were always very cooperative, flexible, and accommodating. Team always had a welcoming demeanor towards any concerns or suggestions and made an effort to address them promptly. Overall, we had a very positive experience with Our Special Story.

Great centre with highly recommended teachers.

My son joined EIP program because of his speech delay and the progress was outstanding. Teachers know exactly how and where to focus to develop his skills. Their wider range of training practices are meticulous. Teachers were very cooperative and constantly kept updating on the progress.

My son attended the School Readiness Program in Our Special Story since May 2023. The teachers are kind, patient and nurturing, they are always warm towards the children.

The team focused on helping the kids learn group learning behaviors. They made effort in tailoring the worksheets to suit my son’s academic level. The themes were relevant and kids could relate well to them in their work.

During occasions like Halloween, Children’s Day, the teachers spent the time and effort to decorate up the classroom and organised fun activities for the kids. My son enjoys going to the class every week!

Highly recommended centre . They provide home based therapy sessions too which was very helpful for us. The teacher Siti is very passionate, friendly and down to earth in nature. My son loves her greatly and was seen delighted during the sessions. Thank you Ms Jeannie and Jia Yi for your support and guidance as it helped to improve my son to a great extent.

My kid with oss is since june/ may 2022 till 2023. I have seen my kid progress from oss. Teachers are so patient with my kid. They work the goals together with the parents and listen to parents concerns. I have been in the other center, some of them just make their own goal and doesn’t meet the goal that I wanted. The only reason I withdrew 1:1 at home is due to my kid routine timing with oss schedule so i sign up my kid to centerbased. Now i am alr relocate, i find it the academic style of aba is helping my kid here. Else in my current place is try to keep my kid happy, i find sometimes really depends on each parent goals. We all parents just want to do what best for kids, thank you OSS.

We engaged OSS to support our son's learning needs after he was diagnosed with GDD at 2 years of age. Its coming to almost a year, and Teachers Rachel and Zareen have been instrumental in our early intervention care for Max. Together with Jia Yi, they have followed up consistently and created a curriculum which he seems to enjoy and we have definitely seen significant improvemements in all functions of growth, comprehension and communication. Max is more verbal now, and always goes into and out of class happy, which is hard for someone doing so much therapy. We see the love and care that they have for him, and feel extremely comforted that they are the ones working with him. We absolutely recommend OSS for any parent, and are absolutely thankful for our son's progress thus far with OSS. They will definitely have your children's best interest at heart. My son has been with OSS since Feb 2023. We used to send him to a regular playgroup the year prior but he couldn’t quite fit in with his class. He has speech delay and would usually play by himself. We enrolled him for an EIP class at the centre.

Thanks to his teachers/therapists Jeraldyn, Siti, and Lin, my son has developed from a quiet boy to a happy boy who likes singing nursery rhymes. They have tailored activities according to his progress and capabilities. We really liked the weekly feedback they give on the parent’s app.

We are very happy that we found OSS as they have really been helpful in improving my son’s focus, listening skills and ability to follow instructions for a span of just a few months. We also appreciate that they truly care about each of their students.

After trying many others EIP programs and so called ABA classes, i am very very glad that i found this special place for my daughter. Grace is so experienced and my daughter has been making good progress just after 1 month of lessons. Grace exactly knows what my daughter needs and tailor made training programs for her. Thank you so much!

My child started attending the weekly social skills class since June 2022. He really enjoys the classes and always looks forward to a fun Friday at the class. The teachers are caring and always responsive and send regular updates on progress. My child is still working on making friends in his school but I am sure we will get there soon with support from our special story.

Highly recommend Our Special Story. My son had 17 sessions there and still got improvement in his behaviour in such little duration. Miss Jeannie always had been very cooperative. She was flexible and accommodative.
She had a very welcoming behaviour towards any concerns and suggestions and tried to work on them as soon as possible.Overall I had good experience.

Happy with the service. 😊 Teacher Grace is empathetic & sharp in noticing the weaknesses of our child & made every attempt to address them. She displays genuine care & great patience for my child. Also grateful to her for accommodating to our child’s schedules flexibly.

This is a good place for those children under the spectrum or with behavioural issues. They have multiple programs and services offered for different children needs. The program is very effective and it improves my Son a lot under Tr Jia Yi in the span of ~8months from no attention, no focus, non verbal. Teacher Jeannie is very patient with my daughter. In just 3 months, we could see tremendous improvements in our daughter's speech and sitting behaviours. Teacher Jeannie makes time to answer all our queries. We are so lucky to have her as my daughter's therapist!

Great therapists and centre. They really understand and know what your child needs. They patiently work with the children and the parents and customize every session. Great exchange of communication and tracking of the progress. My son did major progresses with Our Special Story; I highly recommend Jeannie and her team.

Engaged Our Special Story for shadow teacher and 1 to 1 class. My boy has mild autism, short attention span and behaviour issues. The teachers are so patient and filled with love when teaching my son. He has shown improvement and I am very grateful. The team at Our Special Story is truly passionate. They treated my son like theirs ! The place is so special, just the right size for my child to grow and learn. Wonderful and patient therapist especially Grace, whom has been working with my boy for a few months helping him on table top activities, academic,  play skill, regulation, etc.  he is now articulating more on his request and don't wants instead of whining, able to sit and do more reading, math, english, drawing on his own initiative.  thanks.

Grace got good team to work with children and able to create nice material to help kids to understand the concepts easily.

Grace is very knowledgeable and my son has certainly benefitted from her home therapy sessions over the years! She is very supportive and cognisant of my son's needs and the consistent feedback really helps. We really hope and want to have her continuing with us in our journey for years to come!

Our baby D's therapist is Ms Carolyn. A patient lady who knows how to handle my girl who could not sit down for a short period of time. After a few sessions, she is able to sit down for a good 30 mins of work time and is more verbal in the correct manner like 'I see' or 'I'm (action)-ing'. 

D loves it when she arrives at the doorstep as she is friendly and cheerful. The progression for our little one was improving very well thanks to her specialties.

Michelle and Carolyn is a most friendly and patience therapy during my son session...As my boy really improved alot,just a few months..thks a lot Our special story...

In fact, I have referred our special story to a few friends and they are loving the care and guidance provided by their teachers. My boy progressed steadily under their tutorage. I am amazed they are able to keep him engaged and learning during every 2 hour session. The tasks and lessons taught are very useful in managing every day behaviour at home, in school and in public. 

Aside from receiving good support during lessons from their behaviour therapist, fortnightly, there will be visits from their behaviour consultant to further guide the engagement between therapist and student. Very flexible in lessons arrangements.

My son Asad has benefitted by the therapy sessions conducted by Jeannie She is knowlegable and jovial which kept Asad interested in the sessions. I wish her all the best

Jeannie was my son's ABA therapist for close to a year and she's always encouraging and informative of the process my son goes through. We're grateful to have had her in our son's early intervention years. Her patience has helped our son to progress at his own pace and if not for her I don't think he would be as far as he is today.

We engaged Grace and Carolyn since November 2019 for shadowing and ABA services to prepare him for Primary 1. 

They managed to quickly build rapport with him and the transition to primary school was better than expected. They were attentive to his needs and followed up at home, further supporting his transition to primary school. They also worked closely with the school teachers so that we can reinforce at home. 

In less than a year, we saw significant improvement in W and even the school teachers agreed. W enjoys school every day and has gained confidence in adapting to school independently. There are still needs to be supported, but we trust Our Special Story will be with us on this journey.

Jeannie has a special way with children, while superbly accomplished in what she does, she has the patience, and uses excellent methods and strategies when working with our daughter. Thank you!

Highly recommend. Our therapists Grace and Carolyn, they are really customer-oriented and attending to individual needs of my son. My son was starting with limited echos and now can have dialogues with teachers. Really appreciated.
