Singapore theme Matching Worksheets!

What is it

Find the same picture from each side and draw a line to join the 2 pictures.

Each set comes with 2 different levels of difficulty

  • Level 1: Matching 5 pairs with the aid of dotted lines

  • Level 2: Matching 5 identical pairs

Teaching Objectives

  • Learning to identify the pictures

  • Learning to find the pair and join them by drawing a line

  • Learning about Singapore through the exposure of the pictures

How to use

  • Identify the pictures in the worksheets before starting

  • Using a pencil or a marker, draw a line to join the same picture together

Teaching tips

  • If your child finds it difficult to draw a straight line, use a ruler as an aid to connect the points

  • Start with worksheets from Level 1 to build up your child’s confidence. When your child is more fluent in matching, then proceed to a Level to practice matching without the aid of the dotted lines

  • To prevent the child from missing out on questions, it is a good practice to have the child to systematically work from top to bottom rather than randomly matching the pictures as he sees it.

Embed more learning opportunities

  • Receptive language - Point to the Merlion

  • Expressive language - What is this?

  • General knowledge - Expose your child to the locations or symbols to help your child learn more about Singapore
