What is it

Spring-themed worksheets that are perfect for working on different worksheet skills while encouraging children to appreciate the outdoors in springtime.

Teaching Objectives

  • Work on reading skills and identifying the correct picture corresponding to the words

  • Practice fine motor skills by cutting and pasting the cut-out pictures onto the correct pictures

  • Work on sustained tracing, drawing lines with ruler, and colouring

  • Learn and apply worksheet skills by recognising different instructions. E.g., circle, cross out, tick

How to use

  • Teach the child the different activities that they can do in Spring. For the cut and paste segment on Page 3, the child may find the corresponding pictures on Page 6.

  • Introduce to the child the five main senses - smell, sound, sight, taste and touch - as well as their corresponding body parts. For Page 5, refer to Page 6 for the pictures and match them to the most appropriate senses.

  • For pages 7-8, the child can identify the fruit, and match the fruit to its tree.

Teaching tips

  • Watch videos related to Spring and picnics to increase the child's general knowledge.

  • Go out to the park and complete the ‘I Spy’ activity with the child. Make memorable memories at the park as a family, while also learning about the Spring season!

Here are some videos:

Embed more learning opportunities

  • Receptive language - “point to your nose. Nose is for smelling”, “Let’s point to the sun”

  • Expressive language – point to items at the park, and ask the child, “What is this?”
