How to use

  • To introduce sequencing to younger children, use this printable-

  • Have your child trace the numbers on page 1 as a prompt to learn the number sequence

  • Recite the numbers together with your child a few times

  • Start with questions on pages 2 and 3 before advancing to pages 4 and 5

  • Recite the provided numbers with your child and pause at the blanks to see if your child is able to say the answer

  • You can lay out some numbers (written on separate pieces of paper or manipulatives) for your child to receptively identify the correct number

Teaching tips

  • Sing nursery rhymes or songs together to reinforce the number sequence

    • e.g. 10 little dinosaurs, 1 2 3 4 5 Once I caught a fish alive...

  • Use number manipulatives to get your child to sequence the numbers on his own
