How to use

  • Worksheets are created with 4 levels. Pick the worksheet that fits your child’s skill level!

  • Level 1: Read, trace and copy the word

    • If your child is still learning to read, use this to teach and reinforce his reading of sight words

    • Help your child to sound out or break down the word to read

  • Level 2: Read and write the correct word with line prompts (3 words)

    • Starting with a field of 3 words, helps your child to be more likely to succeed in choosing the correct word. This helps to build confidence!

    • Line prompts provides a visual for neater handwriting

  • Level 3: Read and write the correct word with line prompts (5 words)

    • Progress to a field of 5 words to increase the difficulty

    • Line prompts provides a visual for neater handwriting

  • Level 4: Read and write the correct word independently (5 words)

    • Line prompts are faded

    • Child to practice writing independently

Teaching tips

  • If your child is not ready to write, write/print out the words and get him to match to the pictures

  • Break down and sound out the words when reading 


Embed more learning opportunities

  • If your child has successfully completed Level 4 worksheet, cover the box of words and get your child to recall and spell out the words himself!
